New Delhi, April 11 - A man died and two other injured as the car they were in caught fire after hitting a parked truck, police said Friday.

The accident occurred in Delhi Cantt area early Friday, police said. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Kumar, 35, a businessman. The two other occupants - Manish and Varun - of the Santro car were injured in the collision. They were recuperating in hospital.

Police said the three were coming from Gurgaon.

According to an eyewitness, the car caught fire within a few minutes after the collision. By the time they managed to come out of the car, the three had received burn injuries also.

Sandeep was injured in the collision and also received burns. Earlier, police had attributed his death to burn injuries.
