New Delhi, July 18 - Raveena Tandon has always been associated with different charitable programmes. Now the actress has associated herself with a sponsorship programme to provide quality education to poor children.
The 34-year-old who has been part of programmes by Child Care and You - and Unicef, among others, visited Delhi along with the marketing head of Hindi general entertainment channel Colors, Rameet Arora, to hand over a sponsorship certificate by the channel to Nai Disha -- a school for children from poor families.
The sponsorship programme was part of a nationwide celebration of the channel's first anniversary July 21.
'I have always associated myself with programmes and initiatives that include children. I feel safer with kids and have more fun with them.
'This is the reason why I have judged children's shows and am involved with charities that will benefit the future of our country,' Raveena, a judge on the channel's children's reality show 'Chhote Miyan - Chapter 2', told reporters here.
'It was great coming here and meeting these children. Their enthusiasm and spirit make you feel so nice. I am happy that Colors is celebrating with such an unique approach. It is a good way to give back to people,' added Raveena, looking ravishing in a cream and black suit.
