New Delhi, April 18 - Fans of Colombian Nobel laureate Gabriel Marquez Garcia took to Twitter Friday to pay tribute to the author by remembering his most celebrated pearls of wisdom reflecting his broader understanding of life.

The author of 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' breathed his last at his home in Mexico City Thursday, a little more than a week after leaving hospital. He was 87.
