"Bedi also clarified why she was distancing herself from social worker Anna Hazare's movement."
Kolkata, April 22 - India's first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi Tuesday batted for BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, saying he could take India to the next level as prime minister.

I understand instinctive leadership. Therefore, I do see very positive qualities of leadership in Narendra Modi compared to many others.

He is tried and tested and I believe he can take the country to the next level, Bedi said in her address at a session Mandating Women Security organised by the MCCI Ladies Forum.

Bedi also clarified why she was distancing herself from social worker Anna Hazare's movement.

I have never been electorally inclined. Each one has their inclinations. There has to be mutual respect for each other's inclination but the fact is I was clear in my mind... about the consistency... that's why I am in the movement... I think the thinking changed for others, she said.
