"The 28 other followers arrested were later released on bail."
Dhaka, May 12 - A Bangladeshi court Monday began hearing the case of Ansarullah Bangla chief, Mufti Jasihmuddin Rahmani, along with his associates, a media report said.

Rahmani along with two of his followers was produced before the Barguna district court in south-eastern Bangladesh Monday, bdnews24.com reported.

Police arrested Rahmani along with 30 followers from a house at South Khajurtola in August 12 last year. His followers have been accused of killing blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider in Dhaka on Feb 15 last year.

The 28 other followers arrested were later released on bail.

Jasihmuddin Rahmani was a follower of the US-born Yemeni Al Qaeda leader Anwar Al-Awalaki, who was killed in an American drone attack Sep 30, 2011, the report said.
