Kolkata, May 14 - A huge quantity of explosives, including gelatine sticks and detonators, were seized in West Bengal Wednesday, police said.

Following specific intelligence inputs, the police made the seizure from a warehouse in Birbhum district's Rampurhat area, some 190 km from here.

We have recovered 1,500 kg of gelatine sticks and 525 detonators. The prime suspect - owner of the warehouse - is missing. We have detained a person for questioning and are looking for the owner, Superintendent of Police Rashid Munir Khan said.
