Chennai, May 16 - Tamil Nadu's ruling AIADMK appeared set to sweep the state, establishing early leads in around 30 of the 39 constituencies, followed by the BJP in two seats.
If the trends continue, AIADMK may turn out to be one of the largest parties in the 16th Lok Sabha after the BJP and the Congress.
AIADMK cadres at the party headquarters are upbeat about the results.
DMK, the major opposition party in the state, has not established lead in any of the 39 seats in Tamil Nadu.
