"Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Tuomioja said Finland wants Ukraine to live peacefully like any other country, and the Ukrainian people should have rights to choose their own way without foreign intervention."
Helsinki, June 10 - The Ukrainians should have their own choices without any foreign intervention, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

He made the statement at a press conference held Monday evening after meeting his Finnish counterpart Erkki Tuomioja in Finland, Xinhua reported.

Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Tuomioja said Finland wants Ukraine to live peacefully like any other country, and the Ukrainian people should have rights to choose their own way without foreign intervention.

Lavrov agreeing to Tuomioja's statement criticised the West and said that it had interfered with Ukraine in the past and during the current crisis.
