"The minimum temperature Saturday settled five notches below the season's average at 22.7 degrees Celsius."
New Delhi, June 14 - The national capital experienced light rain Saturday bringing much-needed respite from the blistering heat of recent days.

People were seen enjoying the pleasant weather after the soaring temperature.

Its beautiful weather since morning. I had an off today (Saturday) so I decided to come for shopping here in CP, said Anita Sharma, a PR professional, who was in central Delhi's Connaught Place with her friends.

Delhi had been reeling under a heat wave this month that forced people to remain indoors. Mercury touched a 62-year-high of 47.8 degrees Celsius June 8 in certain parts of the capital.

Now, I hope that scorching heat doesn't come back. It was making our life impossible as due to power cuts fans and air conditioners were not working, said IT professional Bhuwan Mehta.

The minimum temperature Saturday settled five notches below the season's average at 22.7 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature Friday settled three notches below the season's average at 36.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded five notches below the season's average at 22.7 degrees Celsius.
