New Delhi, June 15 - Delhiites woke up to a pleasant Sunday morning with the minimum temperature settled at 28 degrees Celsius, average for this season. The Met Office has forecast a cloudy day ahead with light rain and thunderstorm.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 39 degrees Celsius, said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The city received 2.6 mm of rainfall since Saturday which brought much-needed respite from the soaring temperatures in the city.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 pm was 76 percent.

Saturday's minimum temperature settled five notches below the season's average at 22.7 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature settled at 37.1 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
