Damascus, June 19 - At least six people -- four children and two women -- were killed and 32 wounded in an air strike against a rebel-held area here Wednesday, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The strike targeted the suburb of Saqba in Al-Ghouta countryside of Damascus, Xinhua quoted the Observatory as saying.

Earlier in the day, the Observatory said the Syrian air force bombarded parts of a refugee camp on the Syria-Jordanian border near Al-Shajra town overnight, killing at least nine civilians and leaving some others critically injured.

The Syrian crisis, already into its fourth year, has claimed over 100,000 lives while leaving millions of people displaced.
