New Delhi, June 25 - The Shakti Bhatt Foundation has invited entries for the 2014 Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize, the organisers said Wednesday.

The award, in its seventh year, is named after a young journalist, Shakti Bhatt, who passed away in 2007.

It covers a wide range of genres: poetry, fiction (including graphic novels), creative non-fiction (travel writing, autobiography, biography, and narrative journalism) and drama.

The winners will be announced in November and winners will get a cash award of Rs.100,000 and a trophy at a ceremony in Delhi in December.

Authors from the subcontinent are also eligible for the award, but their books must be published in India.
