New Delhi, June 26 - Two engineering students were killed and four of their classmates injured when their car jumped a road divider and collided with an oncoming car, police said Thursday.
The incident took place around 11.20 p.m. Wednesday near Mayur Vihar Phase-I Metro station in east Delhi when the driver lost control over the car.
After jumping the divider, the car collided with another car heading towards Mayur Vihar, said a police official.
The six engineering students, all in their 20s, were returning to Delhi from Noida.
The other car's occupants, a couple and a child, suffered only minor injuries, said the official.
All the injured were rushed to three different hospitals.
Vishal and Ujjwal succumbed to their injuries at a hospital while their four friends are being treated.
Samarthya, who was driving the car, told police that he suddenly lost control over the vehicle which led to the accident.
