Dhaka, June 27 - External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj prayed here Friday for better ties between India and Bangladesh at the historic Dhakeshwari Mandir, a media report said.

The minister visited the temple on the last day of her three-day trip and offered prayers, the online edition of Prothom Alo newspaper reported.

She spoke in Hindi to other devotees at the oldest Hindu shrine in Dhaka.

I came to Bangladesh with an open mind. Good relations exist between India and Bangladesh and the relationship will further get better. I am trying to resolve all the issues coming in the way of our ties, Sushma Swaraj was quoted as saying.

Dhakeshwari is considered the presiding deity of Dhaka.
