Los Angeles, June 28 - An upcoming Oasis exhibition in the band's hometown has been cancelled.

Chasing The Sun: Oasis 1993-1997 launched in London in April, this year and was due to open in the group's native Manchester, England next month, reports contactmusic.com.

However, the show, which features a variety of memorabilia from the rockers' career, has now been called off.

A statement from organisers Future Artists reads, Due to unforeseen circumstances, Future Artists regretfully inform you that the exhibition at the Great Northern (venue), Manchester, has been postponed until further notice... The VIP Preview on Thursday 17th July is therefore also temporarily cancelled.

No further details about the postponement have been given. Former bandmember Noel Gallagher had been due to open the exhibition, which was to launch July 18.
