Jammu, July 11 - Two engineers working in the hilly Kishtwar district of Jammu region were Friday washed away in the Chenab River.

Pramod Pathak, an engineer, and his helper Hushiar Singh were in a drilling operation for the NHPC in Kishtwar district when they slipped into the Chenab River Friday.

Both are feared dead and efforts are on to recover the bodies, a police officer told IANS here.

Both Pathak and Singh belonged to Uttar Pradesh.
