Glasgow, July 27 - While Mahesh Mangaonkar and Anaka Alankamony notched up wins in their respective matches, India's star squash player Dipika Pallikal faltered at the Commonwealth Games here Saturday.

Mangaonkar entered the men's classic plate quarter-finals by defeating Welsh Peter Creed 3-0 at the Scotstoun Sports Campus. The Indian won 11-7, 11-6, 11-6 in the Round of 16 and will play Nick Taylor of Jersey Sunday.

Later Anaka won her women's plate quarterfinal 3-0, defeating Eli Webb of Papua New Guinea 3-0 (11-4, 11-1, 11-2). The 20-year-old has now proceeded to the semi-finals where she will take on Sri Lanka's Mihiliya Methsarani.
