New Delhi, Aug 2 - President Pranab Mukherjee Saturday congratulated sportspersons for winning medals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Mukherjee congratulated Seema Punia, Sharath Kamal, Anthony Amalraj and Pinki Rani Jangra for winning medals in their respective games and wished them very best for all future endeavours.

In separate letters, Mukherjee said: The nation is proud of their performances.

Seema Punia won a silver medal in women's discus throw while Sharath Kamal and Anthony Amalraj bagged the silver in men's doubles table tennis. Pinki Jangra brought home a bronze medal in women's 48-51 kg boxing.

The President, earlier in the day, had congratulated other sportspersons like Yogeshwar Dutt, Babita Kumari, Vikas Gowda, Geetika Jakhar, Dipa Karmakar and Pawan Kumar for their performances.
