Glasgow, Aug 4 - Singer Kylie Minogue, who staged the biggest and longest performance of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, said she was grateful to be at the event.

So much beautiful energy here tonight. I admire your commitment, your passion so much and I'm so grateful to be here. Thank you so much, she told the crowd toward the end of her set, www.femalefirst.co.uk.

The event was held Sunday.

The Can't Get You Out of My Head performed to an audience of over 40,000 fans.

The 46-year-old brought the curtains down on the games, and passed the baton over to her native Australia, which will host the next games on its Gold Coast when they return in 2018.
