A front office will be opened at the state and district level to receive applications."
Hyderabad, Aug 6 - Andhra Pradesh will come up with an online mechanism for single-window clearance for industries by Sep 1, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said Wednesday.
A software for the mechanism was being designed by Deloitte, according to an official statement.
The chief minister has asked the industrial department to study industrial policies of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
He said the aim of the government was to create an investor-friendly climate in the state.
Stating that Gujarat's single-window clearance mechanism facilitates faster clearances, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh's policy too should make clearances faster and remove hurdles for obtaining necessary permissions.
He said a State Investment Promotion Council (SIPC) and District Investment Promotion Councils (DIPC) will be set up to give in-principle approvals for industries.
A front office will be opened at the state and district level to receive applications.
The chief minister has also proposed that industrial parks in Visakhapatnam have a chief executive officer (CEO) who will monitor and follow up approvals of the companies located in the premises of the IT park.
