" This support will be provided through the Saudi Committee for Relief for the Palestinian people and would be followed up by the Saudi representatives in the WFP. "
Riyadh, Aug 18 - Saudi Arabia will provide an additional funding of one million dollars to support humanitarian operations for Palestinians in the West Bank, media reported Monday.

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz approved the additional aid that comes in response to the World Food Programme's (WFP) proposal for benefiting 81,000 Palestinians, Arab News reported.

This support will be provided through the Saudi Committee for Relief for the Palestinian people and would be followed up by the Saudi representatives in the WFP.

Earlier last week, Saudi Arabia offered 300 million Saudi riyals ($80 million) for medical relief aid in Gaza and called for support for Egyptian efforts to end the conflict in the coastal enclave.
