Srinagar, Aug 18 - Pakistani troops Monday violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, army officials said. No casualty was reported.

An army spokesman said the Pakistan army opened unprovoked firing at Towars post of the Indian army on the LoC in Toot Mari Gali sector of Kupwara in the afternoon.

Indian troops retaliated effectively, he said, adding that no casualty or damage was reported on the Indian side.
