" Normalcy was restored at 4.53 p.m. after the entangled wire was removed."
New Delhi, Aug 21 - Delhi Metro commuters faced a harrowing time Thursday when train services on one of its lines were affected for over an hour, an official said.

Metro services between two stations on the Yellow Line - which runs between Jahangirpuri in north Delhi and HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon - were affected from 3.40 p.m. to 4.53 p.m.

Metro services were affected between Sultanpur and HUDA City Centre stations when a foreign wire got entangled with a portion of the over-head electricity (OHE) wire near Guru Dronacharya station (going towards Jahangirpuri), a Delhi Metro statement said.

However, train services were normal from Sultanpur to Jahangirpuri.

Normalcy was restored at 4.53 p.m. after the entangled wire was removed.

To carry passengers from one end to another of the affected section, single-line operation was undertaken between Sultanpur and HUDA City Centre, the statement added.
