New Delhi, Aug 26 - Sheila Diksht Tuesday said that she has resigned as Kerala governor.

She said that she had given her resignation letter Monday, but refused to comment on what prompted the decision.

I did what my heart was saying. I will not say anything more at this point, the former Delhi chief minister told the media here.

On the manner in which UPA appointed governors were treated by the BJP government, Dikshit said: I will talk to you in the hindsight after my resignation is accepted.

She did not respond when asked whether she would join active politics again.
