New Delhi, Sep 5 - President Pranab Mukherjee Friday condoled the deaths caused by floods and landslides across Jammu and Kashmir.

In his message to Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra, Mukherjee said: I am deeply saddened to learn about the heavy rains leading to floods and landslides in certain areas of Jammu and Kashmir, which have caused loss of lives, injuries and damage to property. I understand rescue and relief operations are currently underway.

He called upon the state government and other authorities to provide all possible aid to the bereaved families, as well as medical assistance to the injured.
