" Police said they will continue to crack down on the illegal activities. "
Beijing, Dec 21 - Police in China's Guangdong province Sunday said they captured more than 30,000 suspects in a two-month crackdown on porn and gambling.

As of Dec 15, a total of 3,014 people were arrested and more than 5,000 others put under criminal detention in the province, Xinhua quoted the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department as saying in a statement.

In one case, police busted an online gambling gang in Huizhou city Nov. 24. The gambling activities involved funds of about 30 million yuan.

Police said they will continue to crack down on the illegal activities.

Earlier this year, police in the province detained 3,033 suspects in a prostitution crackdown launched after a media exposure of sex services offered at hotels in the city of Dongguan.
