New Delhi, May 6 - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rescheduled and truncated its national executive meeting later this month and changed its venue from Ludhiana to the capital.
The meeting, earlier scheduled to be held May 25-27, will now take place here May 27-28, BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said Saturday.
Although Javadekar refused to explain the reasons for the rescheduling, he said it was 'convenient' for the party.
The BJP, which has been grappling with the internal strife, was further demoralised after the death of its dynamic general secretary Pramod Mahajan, who succumbed to bullet injuries Wednesday after being shot by his younger brother.
