Manila, July 27 - At least 25 people were killed after tropical storm Nock-Ten hit the Philippines Wednesday, officials said.
At least 31 people were reported missing after the storm landed in Aurora province, Xinhua reported.
Twenty of the victims died in the worst-hit Bicol region as a result of landslides, drowning, fallen trees and electrocution, said Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV, director of the Office of Civil Defence.
Heavy rains poured down the entire day in most of provinces, affecting nearly 650,000 people.
At least 22 crew members of a fishing boat went missing when their vessel capsized off the Masbate island province Wednesday, which brought the number of missing to 31, officials said.
