"The rain towards the end of the 70-lap race helped di Resta as the faster cars found it tough to go past him."

Budapest -, July 31 - Force India's Paul di Resta recorded his best performance of the Formula One season so far by finishing seventh in the Hungarian Grand Prix here Sunday. McLaren's Jenson Button raced to victory in his 200th Grand Prix.

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel could not hold on to his pole position and completed the race 3.5 seconds behind Button, who won his second race of the season. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was a distant third.

While di Resta got the important six points for Force India, Sutil could not capitalise on his strong show in qualifying, finishing two laps down at 14th after starting from eighth on the grid.

It could have been a disastrous race for di Resta too had he not seen McLaren's Lewis Hamilton spinning off the track in time after a brief spell of rain made the surface slippery. Hamilton was eventually given a drive through penalty which pushed him to fourth place in the end.

The rain towards the end of the 70-lap race helped di Resta as the faster cars found it tough to go past him.

Force India once again finished ahead of its closest rival Toro Rosso and even left behind Nico Rosberg in his Mercedes.
