Jaipur, July 11 - Newly-appointed Rajasthan BJP president Madan Lal Saini on Wednesday said he met party President Amit Shah to discuss strategies for ensuing Assembly elections.

Several issues and strategies for contesting forthcoming elections were discussed in the meeting on Tuesday, said Saini after his return from the national capital.

He was accompanied with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, state minister Arun Chaturvedi and state in charge Avinash Rai Khanna during his trip.

Talking to media persons here, Saini said: We will contest elections with utmost unison to attain the goal of gaining 180 seats in the ensuing assembly elections in Rajasthan.

This was my first meeting with Shah after resuming charge as BJP state President and I have informed Shah of the positive impact being made after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit. Even the party workers are motivated with success of PM Modi Jan Sanwad programme, he said.

Saini also said that party will take out an ambitious yatra in August to update and inform people about different welfare schemes launched by the state government. The information regarding routes and dates will be discussed and finalised soon, he said.

The planned yatra will pass through all 200 assembly seats and Shah will also participate in a few of these processions, party leaders said.
