New Delhi, Nov 1 - A woman doctor was assaulted by the mother of a 25-year-old patient who died in a Delhi government hospital, police said Thursday.
Doctor Samreen Haq, 24, posted at Lok Nayak Hospital in central Delhi was attacked around 8.20 a.m. Wednesday.
A patient's attendant, Uma Devi, in her 40s, came to the hospital's emergency ward and pulled my hair and pushed me towards the ground, Haq said in her statement to police.
She was rescued with the help of other doctors present there, Haq said.
Uma Devi blamed Haq for the death of her daughter Preeti who was undergoing treatment for heart ailment and tuberculosis, the officer said.
A case has been registered but no arrest has been made yet, the officer said.
