"I was expecting the same chilly day. But it was sunny today with a little breeze. I hope it remains like this, said Reema Seth, a BPO employee."

New Delhi, Jan 9 - After braving extremely cold weather for more than a week, people in Delhi found respite Wednesday with a bright sun pushing up the maximum temperature to 20.9 degrees Celsius from a minimum of 4.4 degrees.

An India Meteorological Department official said Thursday's minimum temperature was likely to be 5 degrees Celsius while the maximum may touch 21 degrees.

But fog and icy winds would continue Thursday, said the official.

I was expecting the same chilly day. But it was sunny today with a little breeze. I hope it remains like this, said Reema Seth, a BPO employee.

Tuesday's minimum temperature was 3.3 degrees Celsius and maximum was 15.5 degrees.
