London, July 8 - Actress Kate Hudson struggled to watch her father Kurt Russell's new film 'Poseidon' as she could just not handle the scenes where he was drowning.

According to contactmusic.com, she said: 'I had a really hard time watching the drowning scene. That said - that's one of the best drowning scenes I've ever seen. I was shocked, but I enjoyed the movie.'

Kate added: It's never easy to watch your dad die on film. I remember when I saw 'Backdraft' for the first time. I was such a mess and then I had dreams after that forever. It brings you way too close to the mortality of your parents. But Pa doesn't come home and say, 'Guess what guys, I almost drowned today.' That's how Kurt is. He doesn't tell us that stuff.'
